A number of Bhutanese students have completed master’s programs in Sweden, but doctoral degrees are rare. Are far as we know, there has been only one until now, but now there are at least two. Wangchuk Rabten has a masters from Thailand and has been a PhD student in Organic Chemistry at Stockholm University since 2013. In January, he defended his thesis ”The use of N, P-Iridium and N, P-Palladium Complexes in Asymmetric Synthesis” – good results in a difficult and challenging subject according to the opponent from France.
