Lars Olsson wrote last year about his experiences as a welding master trainer at vocational schools in Bhutan to train national welding teachers. Despite some frustration and bureaucratic delays, he hasn’t been deterred and has come back for more, and even perduaded a successor to come to Bhutan continue the work in Khuruthang.
Lars completed his first round in July 2023, when Gustav Sennmark took over, but returned at the beginning of this year to carry out welding testing according to ISO 9606, with 21 approved certificates, internationally valid. Johan Karlsson has joined as a master trainer in CNC (Computer Numerical Control), i.e. computer control and programming of workshop machines.
