Uppsala University has had an EU-funded Erasmus + collaboration with the Royal University of Bhutan for six-month exchange of master’s students, which ended last year.
Under this program four Bhutanese students studied in Uppsala 2016, three from the College of Science and Technology (CST) in Phuentsholing studying IT and one studying sustainable development. There were also other students in 2015.
In October last year, university lecturer Anders Berglund from the Department of Information Technology and Ulrica Ouline, program officer at the International Secretariat, visited Bhutan, to prepare the application for the following Erasmus + period 2018-2020 with the Royal University and the College of Science and Technology. The application was successful and exchanges will soon start.
